Field work: vegetation transects at the temporary pond of Nevropoli on Mt. Kallidromo. Problems encountered because of heavy raining that made field work at the temporary ponds of Mourouzos and Mouriza impossible (the ponds were flooded), although we visited the ponds twice in the same month.

Field trip to Mt. Oiti for sampling of Juniperus foetidissima populations and stands. For the study of population structure tree cores were taken for age estimations, and heights and breast diameters were measured on Juniperus foetidissima trees in Fakitsa 1 & 2 and Trapeza locations.

In order to find the optimal grazing regime for grassland management and conservation of their biodiversity, plant cover and biomass were measured in the 60 paired plots (exclusion cages and control) in both mountains (Oiti and Kallidromo). Treatments included three stocking rates corresponding to moderate grazing (at the level of grazing capacity), heavy grazing (twice the level of grazing capacity) and control (no grazing) in non restored and restored grasslands with controlled burning and shrub/weed clearings.
Also, GPS collars ware tested on two cows on Mt. Kallidromo to test their function and get the necessary experience for final application next year.
