Collection of field data in the temporary ponds of Morousa (Mikres Limnes). Presentation of the results of the treatments carried out in Kallidromo in the 5th seminar of livestock owners.

Establishment of a sampling plot and a control plot for the monitoring of the impact of all the management interventions of action C.5 in Profitis Ilias and Fakitsa locations. Completion of monitoring protocols.

Action E.4
Successfully implementation (8-9 July 2017), by the IMFE, of a seminar entitled "Actions to improve Kallidromo mountainous pastures and rational management". The seminar was addressed to farmers-breeders and it was held at Local Community Office of Eleytherochori, Municipality of Lamia.
The first-day included lectures of the project team’s members. In particular, the following subjects were included: (a) the LIFE - ForOpenForests project and its actions for the improvement of Kallidromo mountainous pastures, for purposes of grazing livestock, and (b) the results of the actions for grazing the mountainous pastures of Kallidromo and proposals for their rational management. The second-day was carried out an informative/educational visit was organized to pastures of Mt. Kallidromo. All participants who attended the two-day seminar, were granted a certificate of attendance.
Action E.5
1) Participation of Pinelopi Delipetrou in 14th Eurasian Grassland Conference at Riga (Latvia) and Western Lithuania on July, 4-11, 2017, with oral presentation.
2) Participation of Irini Vallianatou in 28th International Congress for Conservation Biology – ICCB2017 in Cartagena (Colombia) on July 22-28, 2017, with oral presentation with title "Conservation of high altitude temporary ponds in Greece".

On 22 July the modification request of the project submitted in EC. Preparation of the Progress Report 2 to be submitted on August 10th.
