Field work on floristic composition and vegetation structure of mountain grasslands (6210*, 6230*), temporary ponds (3170*) and Juniperus foetidissima forests (9560*). Observations about gender composition of Juniperus foetidissima. Male strobili (in contrast to the female ones) have been developed and were visible.
Action A.9
The external assistant-ornithologist made his eighth (6-9/5/2013) field trip and submitted a full report. Bird activity was higher on this visit compared to the previous ones. All the target-species except Aegolius funerus were observed during this trip.

The two questionnaires for visitors and local people have been finalised. Preparation of the communication and participation strategy.

Research of the existing international, EU and national legislation concerning the protection and management of the natural environment in the two project areas continues.

Establishment of an automatic irrigation system for watering the 9,000 transplanted Cupressus sempervirens plants. Treatments of the 150 grafted plants established as a pilot trial.

Market research for the purchase of the 4 wheel drive vehicle has been completed. The project administrators decided to purchase a Suzuki Grand Vitara, as the best value for money. The car will be delivered during the first week of June.
