Action A.2
A 3-person team from the Geology & Geoenvironment Faculty of the UoA visited the areas of the seven ponds included in the project, in order to examine access difficulties and potential problems regarding equipment transportation and installation. During this 2-day visit a GPS tracking log of the route was created and geographic locations of water and soil-sampling sites were recorded and inserted in the GIS for location map production. In detail: 7 soil and 2 water samples were collected from temporary ponds on Mt. Oiti, along with 6 soil and 2 water samples from temporary ponds on Mt. Kallidromo. These samples are going to be geo-chemically and hydro-chemically analyzed.

The contract between the HSPN and the external assistant foreseen for the implementation of Action A.9 was signed. The external assistant-ornithologist made his first field trip on 18-22/11/2012 and submitted a full report. The next field trip is scheduled for 7-12/12/2012 .

Presentation of the project to the Committee for the Environment and Development of the Region of Sterea Ellada on 08/11/2012 and an audience of local agencies and stakeholders (first Local Event). After the presentation the project team organized a field trip to the Mt. Oiti National Park.
